I've known Patty and Cindy for over 25 years now, and I must say that they are both amazing individuals. They became friends while working for the same company, and each never knew that I had a connection with both of them until years later. It was wonderful to see them grow closer and closer through the years, and I also love the fact that all three of us have sons the same age - so we can compare "stories!"

They both met me when I had severe weight issues – something that was very unfamiliar to each of them.  I’m not sure if they realized how many different diet attempts I had gone through or how much I really weighed; but honestly, it didn’t really matter… they liked me for who I was and didn’t care that I was morbidly obese.  But like most people who have a friend or relative that is extremely overweight, I’m sure that they did worry about my health at times, especially knowing that I had three children at home.

I’ve seen both Patty and Cindy go through some stressful times in their lives, one in particular that was caused by the passing of a family member (which I do not wish to go into detail about), but I will say that all of our lives changed, some much more than others.  Each of us knows what stress can do…

A few years have gone by now and I am thrilled to know that Patty and Cindy, along with Cindy’s husband, Richard, made the decision to start walking and making healthier food choices in January 2009.  They informed me that they walk at least 3 times a week and the pounds are falling off!  I’m telling you right now that they look great… and they aren’t stopping now!  With Richard and Cindy’s daughter’s wedding only a couple months away, they will be focusing on a healthy lifestyle, which will continue to include walking each week.  They know that they want to feel and look their best for the big day – they have a full night of dancing coming up!  So far, between the three of them, they have lost around sixty pounds!  WOW!

And what I like best is that they are living healthy lifestyles now… they aren’t “dieting!”  In other words: they aren’t planning on gaining back all the weight they lost once the wedding day is over and done with.  They will continue to eat right and walk because they have each other’s support, and good health is very important to each of them.

You know, YOU can do what they are doing ~ and if you want to know exactly “how” they support each other, just ask them!  Just leave a comment below and I just know they will respond honestly and quickly… what do you have to lose?  (… pounds maybe?)
